Oak Grove is building interactive web-based training for the Department of Veterans Affairs’ Prosthetics and Sensory Aids Service (PSAS). The goal of these interactive courses is to create uniform standards across VA so that patients receive the same level of care no matter which VA facility they visit.
There are five PSAS courses. Each course aims to improve clinical and non-clinical VA staff performance through better understanding of the automobile adaptive equipment program, Orthotic Work Order Lab (OWL) software, clothing allowance program, amputee clinic processes, and proper wheeled mobility prescriptions.
In order to bring this material to life, Oak Grove is incorporating video captured in one or two-day film shoots on location at VA facilities around the country. Our film crew - comprised of directors, producers, videographers, audio engineers, and photographers - filmed multiple scenarios at the Annual Veterans Wheelchair Games, in Pittsburgh, PA. The crew also visited VA hospitals in Tampa, FL, and Seattle, WA, to capture the Veteran perspective on the process involved in getting a prosthetic or adaptive automobile.
